The following rules and regulations are established and governed by Rick Davis.  All decisions shall be made by the track officials and all decisions are FINAL no Exceptions. 

***If car does not pass inspection or driver is unwilling to change car to pass inspection ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS OR RUNNING OF EVENT***

   PARTICIPANT ENTRY QUILIFICATIONS:

1.      An entry fee will be charged for each car.

2.      All persons MUST sign entry form and insurance form and purchase pit pass before entering pit area

3.      No one allowed in car or race under the influence of alcohol or drugs.  Any driver or crew caught drinking or causing a disturbance will be escorted out of the pit area….

4.      All drivers MUST be 18 years or older, must be able to provide proof at the request of any official. 

   GENERAL RULES:

1.      Drives must wear seat belts and helmet, along with eye protection.

2.      All drivers and crewmembers must attend the drivers meeting this is a mandatory meeting which will be 30 minutes before racing begins.

3.      DO NOT hit the driver’s door!!! Sometimes this happens, but if it looks intentional of carelessness, you will be disqualified.  Don’t use door as a shield, it may cause you to get disqualified.

4.      No HOT RODDINGin the pits, keep it at an idle.

5.      NO sandbagging or holding!!!! You will be disqualified!!!!

6.      All cars must be register before drivers meeting.  The DRIVER has to register his own car no one else can do it…Late entries maybe subject to penalties.

   AUTOMOBILE BODY REGULATIONS:

1.      Fresh built cars preferred or clean previous ran cars only any other car will need to be approved by OFFICIAL before registering, No Used up derby cars.

2.      No 1973 or older imperials or Imperial sub-frames/ frames, suicide door Lincolns, 4X4’s ambulances, hearses, trucks, limousine, etc….

3.      ABSOLUTLY NO SPRING PACKS OR MULTIPLE LEAFS ADDED!!!

4.      NO welding, plating, stuffing or concreting of the frame will be tolerated….

5.      6” WELD RULE NO WELDING 6” INFRONT OF FRONT DOOR OR 6” BEHIND REAR DOOR.

6.      Any passenger car or station wagon, foreign or domestic 5 lug allowed (Minimum 100” wheel base).

7.      All cars MUST have a readable number in bright colors on each front door. (Minimum of 15” numbers).  No other writing on the doors….

8.      All glass, including headlights; taillights MUST be removed before reaching the track.  If windshield is removed the driver MUST wear eye protection. 

9.      All rear seating MUST be removed including frames.  On station wagons all seat and decking MUST be removed.

10.  All cars MUST have approved seats belts secured to frame.

11.  All cars MUST have radiator in stock position NO RESERVE TANKS ALLOWED.

12.  Battery boxes PREFERRED!!! Only 1 Battery ALLOWED.  Battery maybe moved, but MUST be securely fastened and covered.

13.  Doors MUST be chained, doors may be welded but NO welding will be allowed anywhere 6” in front of front door weld of 6” behind the rear door weld.  (TAILGATES ARE NOT DOORS).  Driver and passengers doors maybe reinforced.  No other reinforcement allowed.

14.  Original gas tanks MUST be removed.  You must use a boat tank or well made fuel cell and it must be properly secured and covered.  Fuel line must be secured and fastened properly.  Keep a way from exhaust.  Place fuel cell behind driver’s seat or in the center of the car where the back seats use to be.

15.  Fenders and bumpers may be trimmed to allow for wheel clearance only.  STOCK bumpers ONLY allowed.  No special bumpers allowed.   Bumpers maybe welded to end of frame with no added metal just use the welder.

16.Hoods must have 2 holes 6” in diameter on each side of the carburetor.

17.No floor plates bigger then 6” square ⅛” thick and sheet metal only for replacement of floor pan.

18.On all cars, hoods, trunks and tailgates may be secured with the following method:  On front of car, two pieces of ¾” all thread, with a washer no larger than six (6) inches or ¼” thick.  In addition to all treads, (4) ½” O.D. bolts with a washer no larger than 2” square or (4) pieces of wire or cable may be used.  On the rear of the car 2 pieces of ¾” all thread, with a washer no larger than six (6) inches or ¼” thick.  In addition to all threads, (4) ½” O.D. bolts with a washer no larger than 2” square or (4) pieces of wire or cable may be used. 

19.  Body mount bolts can be replaced with same size bolts, body mounts can be replaced with steel or washers. 

20.  You may patch rust holes with sheet metal only.  Do not patch the frame or weld the body to the frame!!!

21.  Suspension MUST remain stock, no added metal to the suspension parts, NO EXCEPTIONS.

22.  No floater hubs. NO TRAILER HITCHES.

23.  For driver’s protection, you may weld a bar behind the seat from doorpost to doorpost, it can be and X, you may also have a bar across your dash, you may connect the dash bar to bars behind seat across the inside of front door only, you may weld your steering column in, you can also weld a plate across the driver’s door not to exceed 6 inches past each seam.  You may have a roll loop behind the seat, WHICH MUST BE BOLTED ONLY to the floor and welded or bolted to the roof – NO KICKERS going to the back or front of the car.  Back of cage including roll bar, can be no more than 18” from back of front door opening. 

24.  For safety, Windshield bar required from dash to top of car, you are allowed 1 strap in each door window opening straps can be 2” wide – ¼” thick and can be welded 5” on the door and 5” on the roof.  But must able to escape from car.

25.  CARS ARE SUBJECT TO INSPECTION AT ANYTIME THROUGHOUT THE EVENT.

26.  IF NOT SURE OF SOMETHING IN RULES OR ABOUT YOUR CAR ASK THE OFFICIALS.

27.TOP 5 FEATURE WINNERS WILL BE INSPECTED AFTER THE RACE.  THIS MEANS YOUR CAR MUST BE LEGEL.  IF NOT YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

     ENGINE REGULATIONS:

1.      Any engine and transmission may be used in any car, but MUST be mounted in a stock position.  On V block motors front plug must be even or in front of upper ball joint, on in-line motors #2 spark plug must be even or in front upper ball joint.

2.      Chained or welded motor mounts are legal and recommended.

3.      Any type header is allowed, but must be directed away from the driver compartment.

4.      Transmission oil coolers permitted.  Officials must approve Mounting and lines and fittings.

5.      Radiators supports mounts can be removed and you can suck the radiator support down solid.

6.      You can run shifter through floor and you can have a switch panel.  You may also have a hand throttle.  If you are running an electric fuel pump – must be hooked up to your ignition switch – so when your car shuts off – IT shuts off.

     TIRES

1.      Any 15 or smaller tires allowed.

2.      Liquid in tires is permitted.  Tires may be screw to the rims.

3.       No studdedtires or tractor lugs allowed.

Compact Cars Any small bodied car with factory 4cy or 6cy with a wheelbase not to exceed 104-inch.   Rules will apply in similarity as full size cars.  Any questions about body or size see the judges.    NO MID-SIZE CARS!!!!!!
