MUD RUN GENERAL RULES
• All vehicles must be 4-wheel drive.
• All drivers must possess a valid driver’s license. Drivers under the age of 18 must have written, on sight permission from parent or legal guardian.
• All drivers must sign waiver.
• All drivers must wear a helmet and seat belt. Drivers of alcohol burners, turbo blowers, or vehicles using Nitrous Oxide must wear a fire suit.
• All vehicles must pass an on site tech and safety inspection prior to registration, any time after the initial inspection a vehicle is found to be illegal for any class which it is entered, that vehicle will be disqualified for the remainder of the event.
• All vehicles must be equipped with a roll bar or hard top.
• No tire chain or track vehicles.
• General registration will end one hour before scheduled starting time.
• Late entries will start one hour before scheduled start time. Registration will close 30 minute before starting time.
• Entries will be $20 per class. Working members entry fee will be $15 per class.
• Late entries will pay an additional $5 per class and will run first.
• Each competition vehicle may run only once per class.
• No refunds given after class starts. NO EXCEPTIONS.
• $5 for additional riders.
• Disqualification line is a minimum 150’ beyond the finish line.
• All vehicles making a full pass must come to a complete stop in the shut down area until signaled by a red-flagman. Leaving the shut-down area or backing away from the disqualification line without being cleared by the flagman will result in disqualification.
• Payback will be 1st = 50%, 2nd – 30%, 3rd – 20%.
• In the event of a tie, the tying drivers will split the prize money for that place the next lower place. All entrance below that place will be moved one place lower in the standings.
• All prize money will be collected after the event is over.
• The red-flagman is the head official at track side and will make all decisions at track side controversies.
• There will be a “no-tolerance” rule pertaining to arguments with race officials. If an official is put into an argumentative situation, the person arguing with the officials will be forced to leave the premises immediately. Decisions of officials are Final.
• There will be zero-tolerance for any driver who appears to be intoxicated or who is operating any vehicle in an unsafe manner.
• Any protest of a run must take place no later than 10 minutes after the class in which the protested run took place. The protest will be handled by the tech team and the red-flagman for that particular class. $25 will be assessed for all protests. In the event that the protested run is found to be legal, the $25 will be donated to the Phelps County Fair Grounds. If the run is determined to be illegal, the $25 will be refunded to the driver who presents the protest. Protest must come from a driver within that class only.
