The World’s Finest Rolla German Band was formed in the Fall of 1989 by Don Sparlin and Rich Sankovich. We play mostly German-style polkas and waltzes but can also play many traditional American tunes and music with an international flavor like Irish, Mexican, Israeli, even Haydn, Mozart and Rossini. The Band is available for public and private events (for a fee) and charitable causes. Band funds in excess of expenses are donated to local non-profit or music-related organizations. Current Rolla German Band members are Stephanie McCarthy and Ben Zalneraitis (clarinets), Charles Birkby and Jeff Sandquist(trumpets), Mike Tummons (baritone horn), Louis McCarthy (trombone), Robert Viguerie (French horn), and Rich Sankovich (tuba).
